Maroon Tigers Win Fifth Straight Over Magicians

Box Score January 12, 2013 -- Memphis -- Austin Anderson scored 19 points and three other Maroon Tigers scored in double figures, as Morehouse won its fifth straight game, a 73-54 win over the LeMoyne-Owen College Magicians.

Morehouse improved to 6-5 and are unbeaten in conference play, at 4-0. The Maroon Tigers also achieved a winning record for the first time in nearly two years.

Anderson scored 17 of his game high 19 points in the first half. He hit 6-of-11 shots, including 4-of-5 three pointers, and grabbed three rebounds.

Jonathan Tassin hit 3-of-3 from behind the arc and finished with 12 points.

Darrius Williams scored 12 points, to go with four rebounds and two assists.

Andrae Nelson contributed 10 points and five rebounds.

The Maroon Tigers will travel I-40 East to Jackson, TN, to face the Lane College Dragons (1-8; 0-5), Monday, at 7:30 p.m.
