April 18, 2017 -- PEACHTREE CITY, GA --For the third time this season the Morehouse tennis team has beaten the Tuskegee Golden Tigers. Today's 5-0 win was the biggest so far, as it vaults the Maroon Tigers into the finals of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's tennis tournament.
The finals will be a rematch of last year's matchup of the #2 Maroon Tigers against the #1 Benedict College Tigers, won by Benedict. The finals match is scheduled for Wednesday, at 3 p.m.
Morehouse beat Benedict, 5-2, at the Columbia Roundup, February 24, but lost to the Tigers, 9-0, at the Mobile Roundup, April 1.
Tuskegee will play LeMoyne-Owen College for third place.
All matches will be played at the Peachtree City Tennis Center and are free and open to the public.
