PASADENA, Calif. - History was made on Saturday evening when a pair of Morehouse College alumni were part of the first all-Black  officiating crew to work a Pac-12 football game when Stanford faced UCLA in Pasadena, California.

Harold Mitchell, Jr. (Class of '90) served as the line judge while Javarro "Jay" Edwards (Class of '92) was the alternate official.  Mitchell, Jr. and Edwards were joined by referee Michael Mothershed, head line judge Darryl Johnson, side judge Gary Reed, field judge; Micheal Hall, back judge; Antony Little, center judge; Michael Marsh, instant replay official; Judson Howard, and instant replay assistant; Cleo Robinson, to round out the 11 man crew.

Howard's son, Garrett Howard, graduated from Morehouse in 2012.

Just last month another Morehouse alumni, Jerome Boger (Class of 1977), made NFL history when he was the referee in the leagues first all-Black officiating crew to officiate a game.
